Some day in may, Oli Buergin called me and talked about plans to prepare a car for a spanish artist…
The car should be skated, while it is driving. This sounded pretty interresting to me and so I drove down
to Basel. The Black Cross Bowl Construction Crew ( Oli, Christoph and Stany ) had alreaddy started to tune the car with a bank and a wallride. The next day, we just had finshed the work with the bank and the wallride, the “perfrormance” started. Maybe 40 art interrested people had found their way into the garage and were waiting for some action. While Ruedi Matter was driving the car around in circles, we tried to attack that moving obstacle….
So weired, so much fun… The car was loosing oil and it got real slippery after a while. The cooler of the car started to smoke, which was the perfect end for the “performance”.
We got some applause from the spectators and everybody was in a hurry to leave the exhaust filled garage….
Later, the car wasn`t running any more, I shot that f/s rock sequence of Christoph. First try.
He is one of my favorite Skaters to watch….
